A Lifelong Passion for Automotive Perfection... Hi, I'm Harry, founder of Elite Touch. For me, this isn't just a business – it's the result of a passion for cars that started way back when I was just six years old. From learning the ropes detailing my stepdad's high-end classics to becoming an Infinity Wax accredited professional, I've built Elite Touch on genuine dedication, hard-won expertise, and an absolute commitment to achieving the perfect finish for every discerning client here in Chesterfield, Hope Valley, and the Peak District.
Where it all began...
Starting young...
From about the age of six, I was lucky enough to be around some incredible vehicles, helping my stepdad clean his collection – Astins, GTRs, you name it. It wasn't just washing cars; it lit a fire in me, a real love for seeing cars looking their absolute best and understanding the detail involved.
Working multiple jobs...
Managing an e-commerce warehouse at one point – that passion never faded. I spent pretty much every spare weekend I had detailing cars for friends, family, anyone who asked, constantly learning and honing my skills. The drive to perfect every detail was always there.
The real turning point...
Around 2021/2022 after detailing my own BMW 2 Series, the praise received, combined with recalling previous successful detailing projects, made me think – maybe I could really turn this lifelong passion into my profession? Encouraged by friends, family, and my old boss, I decided to take the leap.
Building Elite Touch: More Than Just a Name
When starting out, I knew I wanted to build more than just a local valeting service. I wanted a brand synonymous with quality, trust, and results that stand the test of time. The name "Elite Touch" wasn't chosen lightly – it reflects the high standards I hold myself to and the level of care your vehicle receives. It's about that final, perfect touch that makes all the difference. My vision has always been bigger: eventually having our own product line, a dedicated team, and offering a comprehensive range of automotive care services.
Commitment to Expertise & Quality
Passion is essential, but expertise is crucial. While much of my skill comes from years of hands-on experience, I believe in continuous learning and validation. Before launching Elite Touch full-time, I sought professional training, particularly in machine polishing – a skill vital for achieving true paint perfection.
During my training, the instructor remarked I was a "natural" with the polisher, but more importantly, he noted my constant questions and keen eye for detail. That's the standard I bring to every job – assessing every angle, never settling for 'good enough', and always striving for the best possible outcome for your vehicle.
This commitment is backed by being fully insured and officially Infinity Wax accredited, verifying my skills in applying their advanced Synergy ceramic coatings. I'm always looking to expand my knowledge and plan further training with leading brands like CarPro and AutoBead to ensure I'm offering the very best, proven solutions.
The Journey So Far & Our Vision
Launching Elite Touch wasn't without challenges – from early van troubles to learning lessons on complex jobs! But perseverance and the amazing support from clients through word-of-mouth and fantastic reviews have allowed the business to grow from mobile-only beginnings to our current dedicated detailing studio here in Hope Valley.
My vision for Elite Touch continues to grow. I aim to build a leading automotive care hub in the Peak District, known not just for exceptional detailing, but for honesty, professionalism, and a genuine passion for cars. Whether it's expanding our mobile maintenance team or introducing new services like PPF, the goal remains the same: providing unparalleled quality and building lasting relationships with clients who value their vehicles as much as I do.
